FAQs   1. What is the difference between the accounting studies I’m currently completing/or have completed in university/TAFE to ARC training programs? ARC programs provide practical training. Our programs will use the knowledge you have learned at university/TAFE to solve real cases. 2.What experience do ARC trainers have? All our trainers are registered and experienced accountants (CA and CPA’s) and bookkeepers. ARC trainers are qualified with over 10 years experience in the accounting industry. Anatole Kavob (CA) is in charge of bookkeeping training and Kathy Chui (CA) manages the TAX accounting training. Both are active owners of other bookkeeping and accounting businesses. In addition, we have qualified mentors to assist with the training. 3.Are your programs flexible to suit my training needs and current work/study schedule? We endeavor to cater our student’s requirements from suitable training programs right up to the schedules. 4.What kind of training will I experience? ARC program will cover bookkeeping and Tax related cases. We use current software from MYOB Premier for bookkeeping and MYOB Accountant Office for tax cases. Both software are widely used in local public practice and accounting firms. 5.What is the difference between enrolling for ’3 Month Training Program’ part-time and full-time? ’3 Month Training Program’ full-time requires you to attend Monday to Friday, starting from 9am and finishing at 5pm. For part-time, student can select any 3 days (flexible to change allocated days on a weekly basis) with the same start and finishing time. Whether you choose full-time or part-time, both will have the same structure, real cases and training with the full support of our trainers and mentors. 6.Can I use my experience and training with ARC programs as a real working experience to include in my resume? Yes. When you enroll in an ARC program, you will be working as a real accountant due to the real cases you’ll be solving. You will also be following the accounting firm work-flow requirements. Every case you have worked on and completed will be reviewed by your supervisor followed by a feedback. 7.In my program will I preparing other tax returns aside from individual cases? Our programs will cover various entities of tax return issues, including individual/sole traders, partnerships, trust and companies. At students request we can provide training in a particular area. 8.I need some suggestions regarding my resume. Will this service be provided in my program? ARC has a professional recruitment consultant who provides interview skills and resume advise to help you boost your chances in finding future employment. 9.What will I receive after completing one of your programs? - Accountants Resource Centre’s ‘Certificate of Completion’ -Written reference letter by your trainer -Real work experience 10.What are my chances to finding employment with ARC or other businesses after completing my program? Suitable candidates may be referred to accounting firms or employers. 11.I’m an overseas accounting student. What are the advantages with an ARC program in comparison to completing a ‘Professional Year’ through a university? With some of our programs, selected students will be able to achieve the same result after completing a ‘Professional Year’. In addition, you will gain a year of work experience in an accounting firm. One of the many advantages with having one year of accounting experience, is your salary package may be higher than an entry level with your next employment. For students who are completing their CPA and CA have the option of being mentored by our trainers through a program. Having a mentor can help you accelerate your knowledge, and with a possibility of completing your CPA and CA in a shorter time frame. 12. What is the difference between ARC programs and other training centres? - ARC is about quality with a good reputation of delivery excellent practical training and support. - Our programs are flexible to suit student’s requirements. Ranging from ‘Weekend Training’, ’3 Week to 6 Month Training Program’ and with an option to do a year (please speak to our helpful program consultants to find out more). -Students can start at different levels of training: i.e. starting from basic to complicated cases. -Qualified trainers and senior accountants/bookkeepers. -On-going support with regular reviews on completed cases by our trainers and senior accountants. -We use current TAX software with up to date accounting information. -Friendly and fun environment. -Referral/Placement service: During your training, you may be referred to prospective employers for a job trial or future employment.
