| The Professional Year in Accounting is a 44 week program. It includes the following:
ORIENTATION (3 hours, Week 1)

AUSTRALIAN BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT & WORKPLACE CULTURE (135 hours, 15 Weeks)
- Understand the workplace/business environment, legislative requirements, OH&S, ethical and privacy issues
- Understand workplace culture differences
- Develop an effective resume & Job interview skills
- Develop career management and job search strategies
PROFESSIONAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS and WORKING IN A TEAM (135 hours, 15 Weeks)
- Use of verbal, non-verbal and written communications skills as a professional accountant
- How to work and interact with work colleagues, supervisors, clients, ATO (Australian Tax Office – representatives), ASIC and other third parties
- Understand the preparation of routime documentation and requirements in relation to accurate and timely record keeping
PROFESSIONAL INTERNSHIP WORK EXPERIENCE (12 Weeks)
- Perform, complete and apply accounting and compliance skills into tasks assigned by supervisor
- Understand and apply firm’s systems and procedures on a daily basis
- Understand and apply time management procedures in an accounting firm
- Closely mentored on one to one basis
- Follow the legislation in firms such as occupational health and workpalce safety regulations
GRADUATION AND CONCLUSION (3 hours, Week 44)

ARC BONUS:
PRACTICAL IN-HOUSE ACCOUNTING TRAINING (Worth $2,295) (optional, 90 hours, 4 Weeks)
- Systems and procedures used in accounting firms and their accounting function
- Supervisors, employers and industry work requirements and expectations
- Issues and problem solving for clients
- Use of accounting software including tax accountant software in daily works
