- ARC is unique in that we understand exactly what you, the new in international graduate in accounting, are currently experiencing. As tax accountants and public practice managers from various public practices (accounting firms), we are aware of the need for new graduates to experience the workings of contemporary accounting practices. In order to assist accounting graduates, with a smooth transition into the accounting workforce, ARC collaborates with accounting firms and facilitates practical in-house TAX accounting and bookkeeping internships/training, for accounting graduates and students.
- ARC offers a free In-House Practical Accounting Training Package to all SMIPA participants as a bonus. With the use of real life case studies the students will experience what it is like to deal with real clients on a daily basis in an accounting firm. The practical in-house accounting training also gives an insight into an accounting firms’ working procedures by showing work flow systems and its consequent requirements; demonstrating the various tax accountant software packages in current use; highlighting issues that arise on a day to day basis and explores employers’ expectations from junior accounting staff. This package is designed to give students the necessary skills needed to perform work effectively and efficiently in an accounting firm.
- The program contents of our Professional Communication (Unique) and Workplace Culture are specifically tailored for the accounting firms’ real needs and has been uniquely designed to ARC’s requirements.
The work experiences obtained through our practical in-house training is much more valuable than working as a volunteer somewhere else. Your supervisors and mentors will pay particular attention on a one to one basis whenever it is warranted. You will experience much more by being able to work as an accountant during the internship.
- Any participant who gains suitable employment within three months of having completed the ARC SMIPA program will be given ongoing technical support from our qualified accountants during the three month probationary period.
- ARC will provide advice on resume writing and interview skills with consideration of the specific requirement from accounting firms and employers.
