Welcome to ARC Accountants Resource Centre

Accountants Resource Centre collaborates with accounting firms and facilitates practical in-house TAX accounting and bookkeeping internships/training, for accounting graduates and students. We also service local public practices and businesses through our referral, placement and outsourcing service provided to our trainees.

ARC has been established by professional and experienced tax accountants who, throughout the years, have operated successful public practices. They became aware of the need for new graduates to experience the workings of contemporary accounting practices, in order to assist them, with a smooth transition into the accounting workforce, therefore making them a more valuable resource to potential employers - thus ARC was born.

Our vision is to help accounting graduates/students prepare for the needs and demands of today's accounting firm. Whilst, at the same time, supporting the public practices and businesses through in ARC'S referral/placement and outsourcing service.

ARC offers accounting graduate/students an in-house internship/training program designed to assist them in their transition into the workforce, by giving participants a practical hands on experience in TAX accounting and bookkeeping. Our program is structured to encourage graduates/students to further develop their university knowledge via practical application whilst they familiarize and understand the 'Systems and Procedures' used in accounting firms. As well as the training graduates/students receive, they are also shown valuable job interview and job applications techniques by a professional recruitment consultant.

Advantages of ARC's internship/training programs:

Flexible training programs to suit your busy lifestyle: Short term Intensive Training (3 Week Programs, Weekend Programs & 3 Months Internship/Employment Program) as well as long term, real work experience (6 to 12 Months Programs).
You will be solving accounting problems from real cases using real clients.
You will use software that is widely used in accounting practices (MYOB Accountants Office, MYOB & Quickbooks ).
CA & CPA trainers, qualified and experienced Mentors will assist, support and encourage your progress throughout your time at ARC.
Professional communication skills training, incorporating interview skills, written, verbal and non-verbal communication training as well as assistance with job applications and resume advice.
Additional assistance is available through mentors, if you are completing a CA and CPA course.
A referral and placement service is available with the 6 Months Training Program for selected students only.

This facility is available to ARC students who may require additional support and to help them excel in

their knowledge and complete their CA/CPA studies with ease.

“It was a good journey for achieving and getting experience with ARC. Before coming to ARC I had academic qualification (Theoretical knowledge) and experience with corporate roles. I did not have practical knowledge or experience about the accounting profession, knowledge or environment. By completing my training I received great accounting experience and learnt a lot.

I learnt the following in my program; experienced the environment of accounting firm, working procedures, getting organized and prioritizing task and assignments, understanding source documents from clients, monitoring task/assignment to name a few…

Before coming to ARC I started a part-time role with a small accounting firm but it was very hard to me to carry the job as I did not have the practical experience with an accounting practice firm. After finishing this program I have became confident to carry on my role. Now I hope that if I get a new job I will be able to do my duties properly and confidently.
